Arrow Insights is a research firm with a focus on macro-economic factors that support both fundamental and technical analysis. Investment research is often based only in the theoretical realm, but Arrow Insights believes in the value of applied research for tactical trading and asset allocation methodologies. The firm focuses on education in an attempt to broaden the knowledge base of its subscribers. Led by John R. Serrapere, Arrow Insights publishes papers, builds and tracks model portfolios, and analyzes traditional and alternative investments.
John R. Serrapere President, Arrow Insights John has been advising investors since 1983. He provides ongoing research for investors seeking alternative investment options and consults on hedge strategies for institutional investors. He was formerly the analysts and investment strategists for Foster Holdings, Inc., a large Pittsburgh-based family office. John previously served as a principal of Rydex Leveraged Hedges, LLC, where he designed registered and non-registered products. John has been published in The Journal of Indexes, Financial Advisor Magazine, Corporate Finance Review and The Retirement Planning Journal. He writes a regularly featured column titled "Active Indexer" for Index Universe.
Joseph Barrato Founder of Arrow Insights Joe
has over 25 years of experience researching and creating high-quality
investment products and services. Joe's experience includes the creation of
Arrow Fund in 2006, he is currently portfolio manager for two four-star
ETFs, Reverse Cap 500 ETF (Ticker: YPS) and DWA Tactical: International ETF
(Ticker: DWCR). Joe spent six years at Rydex Investments, where he was
positioned at the helm of Rydex research, educating financial intermediaries on
how to use Rydex Funds. He created fundamental and technical research tools and
developed momentum models with Rydex sector funds. As Director of Product
Development, he was responsible for researching new strategic opportunities, as
well as creating high-quality investment products and services. He also
initiated the research to create and launch the firm's first buy-and-hold
mutual fund, the Rydex Sector Rotation Fund. Joe and his team were responsible
for developing innovative indices and launched the first smart beta ETF:
S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (Symbol: RSP).
Prior to Rydex, Joe spent 12 years at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
As a financial analyst, he assisted economists and analyzed monetary aggregate
data. As a senior financial examiner, he advised Fed officers and board
officials on financial, operational and managerial enhancements. He holds a
bachelor's degree in business administration from The George Washington
University, where he majored in finance and minored in accounting.
